Towards new horizons: accessing mobility through higher education

About this event

PAWA exists to educate teenage girls in Asia — our sole focus has been on helping girls achieve their secondary education. It is extremely gratifying that for the first time we can take this journey further. Thanks to the generosity of the Janssens family, we have been able to extend our support to two PAWA girls toward the pursuit of a university degree.

The Serena Janssens Memorial Fund was set up to honour the memory of a cherished daughter lost too young. In establishing the fund, the family have stated that ” We hope that the Serena Janssens Memorial Fund will be used toward educating teenage girls in Asian countries, to help lift them out of poverty and provide them with higher education to enable them to close the gender gap. These girls will help carry out Serena’s dream of changing the world through actions.”

We would like to mark the International Day of the Girl with a presentation of this new initiative.

This is a free event but a suggested donation of £10 can be made at
