Nepal Jesuit Society and JMB Educational Fund, Aruna Bhawan – NEPAL (15 Girls)
Aruna Bhawan Social Services Centre (SSC), operated by the Jesuit Society of Nepal, provides a home for orphans, children from single-parent families, abandoned children, those at risk, and differently-abled children from various districts across Nepal. These children are given protection and, through access to education, are empowered to build self-reliance and confidence. The teenage years are a crucial time for preparing for college or entering the workforce. This year, we are supporting 15 girls at Aruna Bhawan with school fees, uniforms, books, and after-school provisions.
Additionally, we are partnering with the JMB Educational Fund to administer the first two scholars under the Serena Janssens Scholarship Fund. These two girls will be pursuing studies in Law & Business Management at Kathmandu University and Medicine at Birat Medical College in Nepal.
