SUMMARY:A PAWA Volunteers Social Event: Exhibition Gallery Talk & Tea at the Royal Thai Embassy (by Invitation Only)
DESCRIPTION:A couple of times a year\, PAWA organises a PAWA Social for volunteers to meet\, mix and get to know each other. \nThis May\, they were invited to a special afternoon in London: an exclusive exhibition tour\, followed by tea at the Thai Embassy. \nFirst\, volunteers arrived at the Royal Geographical Society to see Siam Through the Lens of John Thomson\, with a gallery talk by co-curators Betty Yao and Narisa Chakrabongse. \nThe exhibition\, which celebrates 170 years of Thailand-UK diplomatic relations\, tells the story of legendary Scottish photographer and travel writer John Thomson (1837-1921) who set off for Asia in 1862. \nAfter the exhibition talk\, volunteers were invited for tea\, nibbles and sweets at the Royal Thai Embassy\, hosted by Madame Priabthip Krishnamra. Ambassador H.E.
