Meider Jono Asha – Hope for Girls – Dhaka, BANGLADESH (6 girls) college
Progression is important to the project, and Meider Jonno Asha recently had their first university student achieve an MA in business studies and has seen the girls educated in Asha becoming the educators and change makers in their own families, at the Literacy Centre and in the wider community. From 2021 PAWA began funding older teenage girls moving into or already at College via funding for admission charges and books. The two year College course follows on from Secondary School meaning the girls will finish their College education at 17 or 18 and are then much less vulnerable to early marriage.
